WITH ALL CANDLES, THE FIRST BURN IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. TO BEGIN, CANDLES SHOULD BURN FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS.
Please note as your candle burns down to the lower end this may cause some smoke of the woodwick to adhere to the top, as the smoke can't easily escape this is a simple fix just wipe with a damp cloth.
The smoke from the wick is not toxic and does not contain petroleum by products, its just like lighting natural wood around a camp fire there will be a small amount of smoke from the wood burning.
NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED. EXTINGUISH ALL CANDLES WHEN YOU LEAVE A ROOM OR BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP.
DON'T PLACE A BURNING CANDLE NEAR CLOTHING, BOOKS, CURTAINS OR ANYTHING FLAMMABLE, BURN IN A DRAFT FREE AREA. ALWAYS PLACE ON A HEAT RESISTANT SURFACE.
KEEP CANDLES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS.
A CANDLE SHOULD NOT BE BURNED FOR MORE THAN THREE HOURS AT A TIME (TO AVOID EXCESSIVE HEAT IN THE GLASS/JAR THAT MAY CAUSE IT TO CRACK). TRIM THE WICK SHORT OF AROUND HALF OF 1CM EACH TIME THE CANDLE IS LIT FOR A CLEANER BURN. AVOID TRIMMING YOUR WICKS TO SHORT AS THIS WILL CREATE PROBLEMS WHEN BURNING. THIS HELPS PREVENT THE FLAME FROM GETTING TOO LARGE.
STORE CANDLES IN A COOL DRY PLACE AWAY FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
RECYCLE YOUR JAR, SOY WAX CAN BE WASHED OUT WITH WARM SOAPY WATER, ALL NORDIK JARS ARE REUSABLE AND ARE PERFECT FOR COFFEE MUGS (besides the glass ones ), STORAGE USE, FILL THEM WITH COTTON TIPS, PENS, SUCCULENTS OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU DESIRE.
Please note: In warmer conditions candles and soap can melt or sweat depending on where they are left during the courier phase, please don't leave in a hot car or direct sun. Cooler temperatures may cause cracking to occur within the wax ( this will fill once lit).
If you are having trouble with a candle staying lit, check that your wick hasn't been cut to short, check you have trimmed the excess mushroom that forms after each light, make sure your wick is free of any wax, once all has been checked hold the match or lighter on the wick for a period of time to get the burn going, if you see the light going dull again re-light a couple of times until it has a good flame.
